Terms of use

What this is

Topbill is a booking network for performing creatives: a place to show your work, be found by people who hire, and get booked. It's currently in a private beta. Things will change, sometimes without notice, and occasionally something will break. We'd rather you told us than suffered in silence — there's a Report a problem link in the footer of every page.

Your account

You need to be 18 or older to create a page. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what's posted from it.

Your work stays yours

Everything you upload — video, audio, photos, credits, words — remains your property. By posting it you give us permission to store it, encode it for playback, and show it on Topbill and in previews of Topbill (for example a link shared in a message). That permission ends when you delete the work or your account. We never sell your work, and we never license it to anyone else.

Only upload what you have the right to share. If a piece includes other performers, a choreographer's work, or music, make sure you're allowed to post it. If someone reports a piece they believe is theirs, we may take it down while we sort it out.

Honesty

Profiles must be of real people, using real names or established stage names. Reviews on Topbill come only from completed bookings, and the verified tick only from an identity check — don't try to fake either. Featured placement is editorial and is never sold.

Bookings and payment

During the beta, Topbill helps you find each other, agree terms, and keep a record of the booking. Payment between hirers and talent happens outside the platform for now; when we add payments we'll update these terms and tell you before anything changes. Talent never pay to be found on Topbill.

Behaviour

Be decent. No harassment, no discrimination, no spam, no scraping, no attempts to get around the platform's safeguards. We can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and during the beta we'll do so quickly rather than carefully.

Leaving

You can delete your page at any time from your account settings. Deleting removes your public page and uploaded media; records of bookings and messages with other people may be kept where the other party needs them.

The legal bit

Topbill is provided as-is during the beta, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses arising from your use of the service, from bookings made through it, or from its unavailability. These terms will be replaced by a fuller version before public launch, and we'll email you when that happens.
